FRESH START PROGRAM ™

Brenda Crenshaw, founder, wanted to help educate students who were struggling in the traditional classroom setting.  She realized that traditional education was not working for some students. Fresh Start ™ is a program for young people who may have become disenfranchised from public or private schools for a variety of reasons, but have since made a positive decision to finish their educations. Students work one-on-one with a teacher.

Fresh Start ™ enables students who may not have had the opportunity to graduate to earn a high-school diploma and advance to college. The Fresh Startprogram attracts more families looking for a solution, or alternative, for students who are not served by traditional schooling.

The Fresh Start ™ program seeks to increase student achievement enough to enable the student to return to a traditional classroom setting prepared to graduate, or graduate directly from the Fresh Start ™ program. The Crenshaw School’s specially chosen curriculum is designed to promote self-learning in a collegial atmosphere, preparing students for a number of life options. Each student attends the program in a private and confidential setting.   What was once a source of anguish and dread will become a mark of accomplishment and a source of new-found confidence.

Crenshaw makes sure that students are academically equipped to go to any college of their choosing.  From technical schools to Ivy League universities; a career as a professional athlete or an entertainer, whatever path is chosen, graduates leave The Crenshaw School with self-confidence and a solid academic foundation.
